Gibraltar Court of Appeal supports Justice Minister’s power to withdraw Parole application under the Prisons Act 2011

Lord David Pannick QC appears to have worked his magic before a Court, once again.

I particularly enjoyed this comment from the Court: “Although we have not had the benefit of adversarial argument, Lord Pannick QC has dutifully drawn to our attention all opposing arguments which his legal ingenuity has been able to contemplate, including the matters which troubled (Mr Justice) Jack J as manifested in his several judgments.”

Legal ingenuity, then. Not magic after all.
