Glyphosate in Bermuda: testing results to be announced

The Bermuda Government website has published a news alert announcing that the Department of Environment and Natural Resources will hold a meeting to discuss the results of glyphosate (Rodeo) testing on Wednesday, 14 December, 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. at Wesley Methodist Church hall, 41 Church Street, Hamilton.

As in some other jurisdictions (including the USA and the EU), the use of glyphosate in Bermuda is controversial, from an environmental, health and safety, and legal perspective. For a flavor of the nature of the controversial issues, see, for example:

It will be interesting to see what the Bermuda Government’s current thinking is, with respect to this controversial pesticide.
