Cayman Islands’ Legislative Assembly set to debate ‘new’ Legal Practitioners Bill in October

The Cayman Compass has recently reported that the Cayman Islands’ Government will try one more time to pass modern regulatory legislation for the Cayman Islands legal profession, in the form of the Legal Practitioners Bill 2016, which is due to be debated by the Legislative Assembly in October 2016.

At least four attempts (in the past 15 years) to significantly revise the Legal Practitioners Bill have been unsuccessful. Fifth time lucky?
