Bermuda and the Bermudian Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford

Bermuda is fortunate to send one Rhodes Scholar to Oxford University in the United Kingdom annually, having done so since 1904 (Cecil Rhodes first founded the scholarship scheme in 1902).

The Register of Bermudian Rhodes Scholars includes a number of lawyers, starting with the 1904 Scholar, Henry Conyers Cox, who was called to the English Bar in 1911, and the 1906 Scholar, Frederick Eardley-Smith, who was called to the English Bar in 1906.

The deadline for applications for the 2017 scholarship is 21 October 2016.
