The African Ombudsman Research Centre (AORC) appoints Arlene Brock (former Ombudsman of Bermuda) as new Centre Director

Arlene Brock acted as Bermuda’s first Ombudsman for 8 years, and became known locally and internationally for her intrepid work.

Between June 2009 and November 2012, she served as an elected member on the Board of Directors of the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI), and she also served for two years on the Council of the Caribbean Ombudsman Association.

Arlene Brock also serves on the Judicial and Legal Services Committee of Bermuda, whose role is to  advise the Governor of Bermuda on judicial appointments and discipline.
